Campaign rules for brands and creators

Every campaign on UgcBoard follows the same published rules. They are part of every agreement, so both sides know before they start what happens in each situation.

Last updated October 10, 2026

1. Funding and going live

1.1.A campaign goes live only after the brand's bank transfer for the full campaign budget has posted.

1.2.The budget stays in escrow until it is paid out for approved work or returned to the brand under these rules.

1.3.The 15% platform fee is part of the budget and is kept only for work that is approved.

2. Applications and selection

2.1.The brand selects creators from the applications received. Selection is final when both sides accept the agreement in the app.

2.2.The agreement is generated from the campaign brief: deliverables, usage rights, deadlines, revision rounds and payout.

2.3.A campaign cancelled before any creator is selected is returned to the brand in full, fee included.

2.4.Spots still unfilled when applications close are returned to the brand in full, fee included.

3. Product shipping

3.1.For physical products, the brand ships within 7 days of the agreement and adds the tracking number in the app.

3.2.The creator's delivery deadline counts from the day the product is marked delivered.

3.3.If the product hasn't shipped 14 days after the agreement, the creator may withdraw without penalty and the spot is returned to the brand.

4. Delivery deadlines

4.1.A delivery is complete when every deliverable in the agreement is uploaded in the app.

4.2.Creators get automatic reminders before each deadline.

4.3.After a missed deadline, the creator has a 48 hour grace period.

4.4.When the grace period ends without a complete delivery, the brand may close the spot. The full budget for that spot returns to the brand, fee included, and nothing is paid to the creator.

5. Review, revisions and approval

5.1.The brand has 5 days from a complete delivery to approve it or request a revision.

5.2.If the brand does neither within 5 days, the delivery is approved automatically.

5.3.The brand may request as many revision rounds as the agreement allows, up to two.

5.4.A revision request must point to the brief: a missing deliverable, a wrong length or format, a key message left out, or something the brief said to avoid.

5.5.The creator may decline requests that go beyond the brief, such as a new script, a new location or extra videos, with no effect on payment.

5.6.The creator delivers each revision within 3 days, and a new 5 day review window starts.

5.7.After the last revision round, the brand approves the delivery or rejects it. A rejection is valid only when the delivery still does not match the agreement, and it starts an exception review.

6. Payouts

6.1.The payout for a spot starts automatically when its delivery is approved, by the brand or automatically.

6.2.Payouts go by bank transfer (ACH) to the creator's verified US bank account and usually arrive within 1 to 3 business days.

6.3.The creator receives 85% of the budget per creator, which is the payout shown on the campaign card.

6.4.The usage license in the agreement becomes active when the payout starts.

7. Refunds of unspent funds

7.1.Money returned to a brand under these rules stays as balance for the next campaign or is sent back to the brand's bank account on request in the account settings.

7.2.Approved work is not refunded.

8. Exception review

8.1.When a situation is not covered by these rules, either side can open an exception review in the app.

8.2.The review is decided on the agreement, the brief and the records in the app (messages, uploads, timestamps), within 5 business days.

8.3.Until the decision, the money for that spot stays in escrow.

9. Conduct and moderation

9.1.Briefs in banned categories (adult content, weapons, drugs, gambling where it is illegal, unproven health claims) are removed automatically.

9.2.Creators must be 18 or older and verify their identity. Accounts that fail verification can't apply.

9.3.Taking a campaign off platform to avoid escrow or the fee, fake portfolios and misleading claims lead to account suspension.
