Getting started
What is UgcBoard?
UgcBoard is a UGC jobs board and campaign marketplace. Brands post paid campaigns and fund them into escrow, creators apply, and the platform handles the agreement, delivery, approval and payout.
Who can use UgcBoard?
Brands and agencies that need UGC videos, and creators in the US who are 18 or older and can verify their identity.
Does it cost anything to post a campaign?
No. Posting a campaign and reviewing applications costs nothing. You pay when you fund a campaign, and the 15% fee is part of the budget you set.
For brands
How do I pay for a campaign?
By US bank transfer (ACH or wire) to the account number shown for your campaign. The campaign goes live automatically when the transfer posts.
What if a creator doesn't deliver?
After a missed deadline the creator has a 48 hour grace period. After that you can close the spot and its full budget returns to you, fee included.
Who owns the content?
The creator keeps the copyright and grants you the license written in the agreement, including the platforms, the term and whether paid ads and whitelisting are included.
Can I run the videos as paid ads?
Yes, when the campaign includes paid ad rights. You choose 3, 6 or 12 months and whitelisting in the brief.
How many revisions do I get?
Up to two revision rounds, as set in your brief. Revision requests must point to something in the brief.
What happens to money I don't spend?
Budget for unfilled spots, spots closed for late delivery and campaigns cancelled before selection returns to you, fee included.
Is there a minimum budget?
There is no platform minimum. The campaign builder shows when a payout is below the typical US range for your deliverables.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. Every funded campaign comes with an invoice showing the budget and the platform fee. Agencies can get a monthly invoice per client.
Can my team and my agency clients use one account?
Yes. Add teammates with roles and keep each client brand in its own workspace, with no per seat charge.
For creators
How and when do I get paid?
By ACH to your US bank account, started automatically after approval. Transfers usually arrive within 1 to 3 business days.
What if the brand never reviews my videos?
Brands have 5 days to review a complete delivery. If they don't, it is approved automatically and your payout starts.
Is a fee taken from my payout?
No. The payout on the campaign card is the amount you receive.
What about taxes?
You add your W-9 once through our payout provider, and 1099 forms are issued through the same provider where they apply.
Do I need a lot of followers?
No. Brands pay for the videos, not for posting to your audience, so your portfolio matters more than your follower count.
Can I decline revision requests?
Yes, when a request goes beyond the brief, such as a new script or extra videos. That has no effect on your payment.
How do you verify age?
Every creator completes identity and age verification before applying. Accounts that can't confirm they are 18 or older can't apply.
Safety and rules
What kinds of campaigns are not allowed?
Briefs for adult content, weapons, drugs, gambling where it is illegal and unproven health claims are removed automatically.
How are disputes handled?
By the published rules, which cover late delivery, missing work, revisions, non response and refunds. Cases the rules don't cover go to an exception review, decided within 5 business days.
